This year has been particularly testing for many families, so we were more determined than ever to show our support, safely, in any way we could. This involved Calor employees, past and present, donating newly purchased toys and games of all shapes and sizes with the aim of making sure every child has a present to open this Christmas.
Calor’s Susann Gallion, PA to the Marketing and Sales Director, volunteered to host the toy collection at her home this year. She played a vital role in making sure people could still give their support to the appeal in these difficult circumstances, by coordinating everything from collecting to delivering the gifts. We know just how much of a difference these kind of initiatives can make during the festive season, so were delighted with the volume of heart-warming contributions given by the Calor team, along with some of her neighbours and friends.
The children received everything from cuddly toys to board games, craft kits, books and more. All of these gifts were collected by the Calor team before being delivered safely and in a socially-distant way to the All Saints Church Foodbank Warehouse where they were then sent out to their network of local foodbanks, to be accessed by local service users.
We would like to thank everyone who got involved in this year’s appeal for toy donations and came together to offer a helping hand to the community, in the true spirit of Christmas! Look at this short video, showing just that.
